Bitterballendebate #2 – Consequences of the Green Deal in Heer

September 18, 2020 @ 16:00 - 17:00

The green transition is high on the political agenda in Brussels. Frans Timmermans already talked about a taste of climate-neutral life, now that the air is cleaner during the corona crisis with the less mass production.

The European Union wants to be a leader and lead by example, but will it succeed in getting everyone involved? How is his lived on a local level in Heer? Is the majority of the residents integrating solar panels on their roof, do they only eat local and seasonal products, or is sustainability not really a concern at all?

We will discuss these and more questions with representatives of sustainable initiatives from Heer as well as European experts and administrators from the region and beyond. Give your opinion and ask all your questions to the guest speakers!  Afterwards, participants are welcomed to continue the conversation with a drink.

The event is free and open to everyone.

GUEST SPEAKERS: Anne Lefevre, Locotuinen (other guest speakers soon to be announced)
MODERATOR: Angel Nijskens
