In the run-up to the European elections, Studio Europa Maastricht and POLITICO are organizing the Maastricht Debate 2024 on Monday, April 29. In the third edition of this major European election debate, the party leaders from the European Parliament (the ‘Spitzencandidates’) will compete with each other and debate in front of an audience of young voters. The Maastricht Debate 2024 will be streamed across Europe and promises to be the political highlight of the spring for European voters.
The debate will take place in the Theater aan het Vrijthof, located in the centre of the city where the European Union was founded in 1992, with the signing of the Maastricht Treaty.
