11th edition of the international and interdisciplinary fashion festival in Maastricht

Tijdens het eerste weekend van november kunnen bezoekers van Fashionclash Festival een selectie van de beste Dress to Protest ontwerpen bewonderen in de SAM-Decorfabriek.
Meer dan 180 leerlingen van verschillende middelbare scholen en nationaliteiten hebben in mei en september tijdens de verschillende Dress to Protest workshops gesproken over de betekenis van Europese vrede en samenwerking voor hun persoonlijke vrijheid. De studenten hebben vervolgens de uitkomsten van die gesprekken verwerkt in creatieve ontwerpen.
Iedereen kan van 1 tot 3 november de grappige, mooie en complexe designs alsook de persoonlijke verhalen erachter bewonderen. Leerlingen die hebben meegedaan zijn bijzonder welkom om de resultaten van hun harde werk te komen aanschouwen!
Naast het programma in de SAM-Decorfabriek, kunnen bezoekers ook het programma van The Route volgen. Het kloppend hart van hart van The Route vind je in het Sphinxkwartier waar je nieuwe mode narratieven kunt ontdekken bij Lumière Cinema, Bureau Europa en The Student Hotel.
Liefhebbers van crossovers met theater kunnen gedurende het festival in Marres de perfomances bewonderen van jonge theatermakers en studenten van de Toneelacademie Maastricht.
Verder is er nog veel meer te beleven in De Brandweerkantine, de Bijenkorf, Mosae Forum, Kumulus en The Student Hotel. Meer informatie over het hele programma vind je hier.

In the first weekend of November, visitors of the Fashionclash festival can admire a selection of the best designs of the Dress to Protest workshops at the SAM-Decorfabriek.
During the workshops in May and September, a total of 180 students from different schools and nationalities, spoke about the meaning of European integration and peace on the European continent for their personal freedom. The students then translated the outcomes of their brainstorm sessions into creative designs.
Those can now be admired in a special installation at the SAM-Decorfabriek from Friday to Saturday. Some of the designs will also be used for the opening performance on Friday from 19.15 – 19.30.
We warmly welcome everyone to come and admire the funny, beautiful and complex designs and the inspiring personal stories behind them. Students who participated in the workshops are particularly encouraged to come and see the results of their hard work!
In addition to the program in the SAM-Decorfabriek, visitors can also visit the beating heart of The Route program in the Sphinxkwartier and discover new fashion narratives at Lumière cinema, Bureau Europa and the Student Hotel. Lovers of crossovers with theatre can enjoy the performances of young theatre makers and students of the Maastricht Theater Academy at Marres.
